Launched in 2010, AliExpress has now become the #1 e-commerce platform in Russia, and continues to grow in markets around the world. As our user shifts towards mainstream and our seller grows, the challenges within platform compound.

Based on the familiarity of whole checkout flow, a concept design for AliExpress main pages can be eaily deliveried.
With the communication and collaboration of our whole design team, we started from concept design then to a unified design system.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional team
We carefully made four adjustments for the design components.
1. Title size and Style: the size of title increased from 38px to 56px, style changed from normal to bold
2. Height of Cell: height of cell decreased from 96px to 88px
3. Padding of Page: padding of page decreased from 40px to 36px
4. Corner Radios: corner radios of button decreased from 12px to 2px
With the components built, we efficiently deliveried all other pages.
On Saturday, November 11, 2017. The DAU (Daily Active User) increased by 560%, Number of Downloads increased by 260%.
